4 stars The Road Of Bones was another excellent release by IQ, but Resistance may be even better. The sound has not changed much, and Peter Nichols sounds as good as ever. Resistance is dark, brooding, heavy, orchestrated, and crafted like a Neo-Prog work of art. There is so much to love about this new release, and repeat listens settle it to a level of familiarity shared by other instant classics. This will be in many playlists for a while, and the long builder tracks should make this a must purchase for any progressive rock fan. There is enough variety to entertain for a while, and the double album sports almost two hours worth of music. I have never been a huge neo prog enthusiast, but I just love the style, delivery, and presentation here. The songwriting and compositions are top notch making this easy to listen to and a very addictive experience.
