3 stars The story of SRI AUROBINDO got started with a heavy, twisted guitar kick.

Anyway already upon this work their psychedelia has been highly accomplished, their original Oriental Raga style, that they would shoot on the next work "Return Into Earth", has not entirely constructed yet, though. Let me say as follows; in "Return Into Earth" they could play very flexibly and pleasantly, but to say honest, they played very seriously and productively, didn't they? The first track Never Felt More Free has exactly such an atmosphere - sounds they scrupulously played with full of loud guitar noises and rampant shouts. Feel they tried with their aggressive explosion and shoot to stardom of psychedelic progressive rock. Despite of their ambition, delightful trippin' sounds should certainly represent their fulfillment of "peace".

Of course, they dropped a free psychedelic jam bomb onto us listeners in the brilliant song Somersaults In Thoughts, or amazingly oldie & goodie psychedelic keyboard flowers blooming fully in the last Paper Flower Sequence. And we can glimpse their ethnic essence studded around this album, with space-equalized voices and sounds - these elements can remind us why their band name should be SRI AUROBINDO, an Indian nationalist, freedom fighter, and yogic philosopher. I'm sure they can emphasize peace and freedom with the Indo spacey soundscape in their own innerspace.

What a promising debut, highly recommended.
