4 stars I have heard of Renaissance, but this was my first experience listening to the band.

The whole album is well done, but My two favorites are "Trip to the Fair" and "Scheherazade." In fact those two tunes are the only ones I listen to on a regular basis.

I thought "The Vultures Fly High" was a little too corny, even though I understood what they were implying. I just didn't care for the way the lyrics were constructed, although the music at the instrumental part was pretty cool.

"Ocean Gypsy" is a decent enough tune, but it kind of drags on too much for me. Perhaps if they cut the time on it, I would have gotten into it more.

On the other hand, "Trip to the Fair" could have lasted 20 minutes. I loved it and still do. It is a great example of a good 10 minute prog tune that leaves you wanting more.

In the same way, the epic 24 minute plus, "Scheherazade" also leaves you wanting more. Man, this is one of the best prog songs I have ever heard, bar none. The band and Anne Haslem are stunning.

This is essential listening, but I am only giving the album 4 stars, because I only really like half of it.
