Being that this is a completely ambient release, this is a very difficult EP to review. On one hand, it's certainly not the sort of thing I could listen to over and over again and maintain an adequate degree of attention. On the other side of things however, the objective of the music (atmosphere) is nailed down quite well, and the overall sound is alot more professional in comparison to Misanthrofeel's more structured works.

While this might sound listless to listeners that are only used to more traditionally geared music, there is in fact, alot of thought that seems to have gone into the creation of this EP. This is mood music, pure and simple. There is no need for choruses, or verses, or any convention at all. The eerie, haunting vibe gets across very well, giving the feeling you might get if you were watching a horror film. Each of the tracks sounds the same, and the EP might have been better if the transition between 'songs' was seamless, creating an extended composition. While the music is based in electronic ambience, there are also some sound effects used for environmental effect, such as trickling water, and even effects I can only describe as 'haunted forest sounds.'

I would not say this has been my most actively enjoyed of Misanthrofeel's music, but it is certainly the most professional sounding, and effective in the sense that it does what it is meant to do.
