4 stars Superfetazione is the second solo release from Roma based artist Mushy. This last opus (next to various collaborations with Peter M and for compilations) carries on the musical path opened in her previous efforts. Consequently Superfetazione features Theatrical-isolationist- cinematic soundscapes for haunted voices, field recordings and electro loops. In this long blackened ambient escaping, Mushy explores the dynamic-plastic possibilities of neurotic- echoing hall of sounds. The first track opens the album with a blasting industrial noise symphony. With the exception of the infernal "heinz Cibulka" and the atonal "per un'ultima volta", the rest of the album offers a wide range of cinematic ambiences, featuring serious buzzing meditative waves (in the magnificant "Dietro l'innocenza"), spooky electro oscillations (in the claustraophobic "ultimate ratio"), entrancing like atmospheres (in the mystical static "ansiarmonia"). The album closes the musical voyage with a tranquil microtonal dronescape ("my dear") To sum up things, Superfetazione is a pretty relevant mix of moods and timbral atmospheres. Way recommended and essential for those who are into frenzy doomdrones (Stephen Parsick..) and death industrialism (Atrax Morgue...).
