5 stars Ahh, yet another classic Maiden album to review, where to begin on this one?..well i suppose the start...anywhoo this is without a doubt my second favourite Iron Maiden release (personal opinion), and why not? from the opening ACES HIGH, to the closing EPIC 13 minute RIME OF THE ANCIENT MARINER this is classic gold. Not only does this album feature the bands longest song to date but one of their most popular songs to date (thanks to a Playstation game that shall not be named) TWO MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT, the instrumental LOSFER WORDS (BIG ORRA) probably being my favourite instrumental of the bands to date so far as well, and the song POWERSLAVE having a really cool Egyptian feel to it, its probably their most experimental worldly based songs. Again nothing really more to say, its a classic Maiden album everything was done perfectly. A highly rated release, recommended :)

Aces High - 10/10 Two Minutes To Midnight - 10/10 Losfer Words (Big 'Orra) - 10/10 Flash Of The Blade - 9/10 The Duellists - 9/10 Back In The Village - 9/10 Powerslave - 10/10 Rime Of The Ancient Mariner - 10/10

CONCLUSION: Simply a great album, 5 stars first time every time, yup highly recommended
