3 stars YUME BITSU ? THE GOLDEN VESSYL OF SOUND-2002 Yume Bitsu, one of the most evocative and accomplished band labeled under the(as usual restrictive,as for any rock sub-category) frame of "post-rock". Out there since 1995,Yume Bitsu let their golden vessyl sail in 2002,as their fourth album; the atmosphere is the same,90% instrumental, dreamy, whirly guitar sound of its previous albums, widely spread into continuous black sound holes(not only black, but multicoloured ones indeed). The epicenter of the whole work is(as in their other albums)set by the continuous, permanent dialog the two guitars are able to create, a sound blooming into an encircled, almost hypnotic barrier which is nearly impossible to escape across the entire length of the album. Full improvisation here consists in the most of the album(as underlined in the booklet),to protect whose "purity" they refuse, for instance, even to name their songs here.Soometimes the voice of the guitarist Adam Forkner comes in,and it s a pleasant, momentary return to human sound from the multi-layered guitar universe we're, not reluctantly, trapped in. All in all, an album almost indispensable for its genre, definitely one of the finest psychedelic efforts of its year. Vote:3,5 stars You may also like: Daturah,Mum,MonoSurface of Eceyon
