4 stars Long Distance Calling may not be an absolute masterpiece, but surely is an enjoyable album that displays 58 minutes of good music that will surely catch the attention of post metal fans. This is an entirely instrumental album (except for Middleville) where the most interesting parts in my opinion are the first track (Into the Black Wide Open) and the last one (Beyond the Void), even if also the other tracks remain on a very good level. Long Distance Calling is an album that easily gets 4 full and well deserved stars but the hope is that the enormous potential of this band will express at an even higher level at an early opportunity in order to really hit the jackpot.
