5 stars First of all, Hello Everybody this is my first Prog Album Review ! I am 34, come from France (Sorry for my approximative english), where unfortunately, Prog Rock music is not very popular, and thus Prog Rock Live Performances are relatively seldom. It's not very easy to find people dealing with Prog Rock around me (except my current 55 years old office colleague). So, Thank You Prog Archives to exist ! My favourites sub-genres are psychedelic/space, symphonic and folk/medieval prog. If I want to escape far far away, no need for drug or other things like that, all is in Prog !

I have chosen Bursting Out Live Album to begin with, because it is in my opinion one of the most energetic and joyful performance of one of my favourite prog bands. I bought it 16 years ago and listening to it always gives me the same "bliss" sensation. All the members are at their best. Ian Anderson is totally "Mad" and his madness is strongly contagious. My favorite parts are : - Sweet Dreams : Martin's electric guitar tears the air, John's Medieval pipe organ part is very cool - A new day yesterday + flute solo : no comment, just listen ! - Thick as a brick : for Ian and Martin instrumental "communion" - Hunting girl : an invitation to dance on the walls - Cross Eyed Mary : that really rocks - Aqualung : for Martin Barre's amazing solo - Locomotive Breath : Tull's final signature for 40 years !

I had the chance to see Tull on stage in 1999 and 2001 (Olympia, Paris). Ian gained in flute what he maybe lost in voice. Anyway, they were still excellent (although different members except Ian and Martin).

If I had to keep one single CD from Tull, no doubt, this is "Bursting Out" !
