3 stars "Full House" was Fairport's first album without Sandy Denny, and the last with Richard Thompson. By this time, Fairport was totally into folk (no less than four of the original eight songs are "Traditional, arranged by Fairport Convention" - all others were written by Swarbrick/Thompson), setting up the standards for later Fairport releases. The line-up was Simon Nicol, Richard Thompson (by now, the only original members - only three years after the band's inception) and the "Three Daves" (Mattacks, Pegg and Swarbrick), making this album the first Fairport release without a female singer. Highlights: "Walk Awhile", "Sloth" (another great Fairport epic), "Flowers of the Forest", "Now be Thankful" (presented here in mono and stereo versions) and "Sir B. McKenzie..." (one of the longest song titles ever!).
