5 stars This was my introduction to RENAiSSANCE albeit through the single NORTHERN LIGHTS.

I loved the album then and still do. Melodic catchy tunes with plenty of substance and development. Combined with the superb muscianship, production and that amazing voice; this album opened a new adventure in musical listening.

The only 'turkey' is the annoying SHE IS LOVE. But the rest is sheer bliss. My sister still remarks upon the days when we used to listen to this when my parents were absent (they disapproved of this 'pop' music).

For me the stand out tracks are OPENING OUT, THE DAY OF THE DREAMER and the finale A SONG FOR ALL SEASONS. They all naturally develop into sublime prog, no verse chorus stuff here just real understanding of hwo each member of the group work and the ability to explore ways of pushing the music onwards.

An excellent album that would benefit any prog collection, from my own point of view it is an absolute masterpiece.
