3 stars From New York - USA comes this fantastic young progressive metal band formed in 2007. Their first opus was released in fall of 2012 named Misguided and what an album it is, really a solid work in this field. Misguided is pretty awesome from start to finish, all is done perfectly from the sound who is crystal clear, brilliant musicianship and very strong instrumental sections, not to mention that are some very acrobatic vocal lines made by Will Severin, what a fantastic powerful voice has this guy, really nice. Behind this album is a concept- in few words is about revenge and failure in life among the 4 characters involved in the story line. Musicaly speaking this band kick ass, some impressive instrumental sections offered by the 4 musicians, specially the drumer and guitarist are insanely good. Progressive metal with some influences from Symphony X here and there but without that neo classical aproach, this is almost considered by me a pure prog metal album, no power metal elements added in the mix no neo classical arrangements to be found here, this is just pure prog metal like old school. FRom more calmer moments to bursting instrumental passages - Infinite Spectrum done it with this album, pieces like the opening Overture who sets the listner for the things to come, More Than He Bargained For or Man of darkness are really solid prog metal pieces, that for sure will please any prog metal fan big time. The duels between instruments are excellent, very solid keyboards, guitars and druming. The album is pretty long 80 min of music, but my ears were fully conectect from first to last track, no boring moments, only if there was in some places more hooks and memorable parts. All in all this quite almost recommended prog metal album, definetly one of the best of 2012, at least from my view. 3.5 stars easy.
