CONCERTO DELLE MENTI

Pholas Dactylus was a really legendary italian band, whose unique album "Concerto delle menti" is absolutely worth having. It's an inventive effort blending jazzy prog, dark and psychedelic mood. Two keyboards and a talented guitar player offering a captivating atmosphere, very original in the italian scene. In a word this album is a long, cerebral trip. As the recitative lirycs are hypnotic like a theatrical show full of amazing images, the music is obscure but always surprising till the end, without any pause. Pholas Dactylus sound don't suffer comparison for the strong mixture of improvisation and well structured music. In my opinion "Concerto delle menti" is a must of the italian prog.
