4 stars Seven Day Hunt is a Dutch Progressive band that has arisen from the ashes of the disbanded Egdon Heath, featuring Han Uil on vocals, Aldo Adema on guitar, and Jaap Mulder on keyboards. The overall sound of their latest album, File This Dream will remind many listeners of The Fixx and Saga, but that is not to say they are copycats. Seven Day Hunt has most definitely put their own stamp on their music.

The highlight of the album is the opening track, "No Plaster Saint". The song begins with a bit of a stutter-step pacing, and gradually progresses to more up-tempo guitars and keys, allowing the band to showcase their musical and vocal talents to the fullest over the 14-minute span of the song.

The title track, "File This Dream", tends to drag a little too much at the beginning, it eventually builds up to some of the best guitar playing on the album by Adema. The 12-minute closer, "In Delusion", opens with a blistering guitar solo from Adema and builds until a sweet piano interlude sweeps in and carries the listener, again showing the diversity of songwriting and keeping one from getting too comfortable in the song. Vocalist Han Uil shows off his range exceedingly well on the track. File This Dream is definitely worth a listen, a 4 star for me
