5 stars AFTER CRYING is a band of classically educated musicians who play an excellent quality symphonic progressive rock and IMO do it with a good sense of humor. Overground Music, their debut and perhaps the best album is notable by the absence of traditional rock instruments such as guitars and drums. The voice (male) sometimes sounds in a dissonance with what musicians play and it amuses much. It feels like a vagrant singer met the chamber orchestra and said: OK guys you're gonna play your stuff and I gonna sing, well..., something... And it works! Shining is the most beautiful and reminds HACKETT's Shadow of the Hierophant. Highly recommended, especially for prog purists!
