It's far from their best record, but there's something about the easy-listening nature of this one that has found me reaching for it quite often when I'm not sure what I want to hear. Perhaps in a similar vein to the album from which it borrows so heavily, OK Computer, it's just a very difficult album to pick flaws with, even if there aren't obvious highlights. Even songs I once thought were weak, like the unassuming "Slave Called Shiver" or the psych rock jam "Tinto Brass" have started to become favourites of mine, and given this is probably Steven's most pop record as Porcupine Tree, perhaps it's the focus on simplicity that does it.
