4 stars I have two versions of this single; the first is the one above and the other has "Psychobabble" on the B-side. Either way, this is a great single, albeit not true prog. I have to give The Alan Parsons Project credit for combining 80s pop and 70s prog into something enjoyable to listen to. "Eye in the Sky" is brilliant (even better when preceded by the instrmental "Sirius"). The B-sides "Gemini", "Mammagamma" and "Psychobabble" are all from the same album and are all ok, though not the same caliber as the A-side. Seeing as we now live in a world where singles are generally for collectors only and CDs are the more common purchase, I'd reccomend picking up a copy of the "Eye in the Sky" album instead. But if you have the means (or iTunes and 99 cents) make sure you listen to "Eye in the Sky" the song. You won't be dissapointed, trust me.

3 stars One of the most successful songs from The Alan Parsosn Project, it is still played a lot in some Oldies FM Radio Stations in my city .

It was in 1982 when I listened to this song, and after their great song called "Time", which was also released as a single in 1981 (and also it is still played a lot in those Oldies FM Radio stations), I was a little disappointed. But "Eye in the Sky", despite being a very Pop style song, it is still good. Maybe their "Eye in the Sky" album was their most successful album, and maybe I should recommend to buy the album instead. Lead singer Eric Woolfson has not a great voice, but his voice works very well in this song. It is curious that some of their greatest hit singles were sung by him, and not by their guest singers who were better singers than him, IMO. But this song is maybe the most known song from this band. It is a very good example of the Rock Pop music of the eighties with a bit of Progresive Rock arrangements.
