4 stars Having already rated & reviewed the original In A Silent Way release giving it a 5/5 you can this one won't change to dramatically. In my original review I mentioned the importance of the year of it's release, the change of Miles' sound and the psychedelic sound of the late sixties. All these still apply but the real change is in the format and price.

Compared to the two original tracks they've add two more discs with 15 more songs ranging from 6 minute songs to 23 minutes of the whole In A Silent Way Sessions. This lets you hear Miles' complete vision of the original album in a much larger & rounded context.Every song is of as high quality as the original album songs and features different versions of the originals some which didn't make it on the album and some from rehearsals.I would advise people to be brave and pay the extra money for these sessions. Not only do you get the original album you get much more that will please newcomers and fans alike.
