Ertlif biography
Ertlif was one of the first Swiss prog-rock groups, influenced by British psychedelic rock. The band was formed in 1970 in Basel and disbanded in 1978.

Their first self-titled album was released in 1972 in the lineup of Teddy RIEDO on bass, Danny ANDREY on guitars, James MOSBERGER on keyboards, Hans BORLIN on percussion and vocalist, guitarist Richard RUSINSKI.
This was not the end of the group, because in 1993 band was reformed with new second guitarist
Andy SEGHERS. In 2001 they released second album Illusion with new versions of older tracks and new material.
Also in 2017 compilation of archival tracks from the period 1974 - 1975 was issued.
This album shows band as still progressive group with more adventurous bluesy krautrock compositions.

Their style can be characterized as psychedelic blues prog rock with additional keyboards like lush Hammond organ, electric piano and Mellotron. Audible are also influences from PINK FLOYD with dose of hard rocking Krautrock.

ERTLIF's music can be compared to mentioned PINK FLOYD (in more dreamy moments), German JANE and another obscure Swiss group EXIT.
