SEA IN THE SKY is a progressive metal band that calls Redwood City, California their home. Founded in 2012, the band began it's existence as an instrumental quartet with Cameron STUCKY on guitar, Rodney DUDUM on guitar, Johan GUERRA on bass and Danile LARSEN on drums.

After releasing an EP in 2013, they followed this up with their first full-length album "Serenity" in 2014 which got the attention of the progressive music world and a lot of praise from critics and publications everywhere. At this point, the band played mostly local shows all over the Bay area which strengthened their reputation as an excellent live act. At this time, they also signed on with a professional management group. The band decided to take on vocalist Sam KOHL in 2015 and replaced STUCKY with guitarist Jakob BRAY.

Their music has been described as a romantic, progressive djent metal with nods to funk and jazz. They have been compared to bands like PERIPHERY, ANIMALS AS LEADERS, SCALE THE SUMMIT, CHON, INTERVALS, PLINI and THE CONTORTIONIST.
