Weeping Sores biography
Weeping Sores is the American atmospheric death-doom studio project of Pyrrhon vocalist Doug Moore, formed in New York City in 2016. Handling guitar, bass and vocals, Moore is accompanied by longtime collaborator and Pyrrhon/Seputus bandmate Stephen Schwegler on drums, with Oregon-based Tchornobog bassist Gina Eygenhuysen on violin. Weeping Sores play a hybrid of death, doom and progressive sludge metal, inspired by Evoken, Giant Squid, Morbid Angel, Rwake, Warning and early YOB.

Their self-titled debut EP was released on Dullest Records in 2017, with their follow-up LP, False Confession, issued by I, Voidhanger Records two years later. Weeping Sores have garnered comparisons to My Dying Bride, Ulcerate, SubRosa, Rwake, Anathema, Neurosis and Inter Arma.
