Step Into Liquid biography
STEP INTO LIQUID was formed in Hamburg, Germany in February 2002 from the ashes of another German progressive metal band, MEGACE. The 4 ex-members of the band, Christian WULFF (bass, ex-DROWNING IN REAL), Andreas DÜWEL (drums), Stefan SPEIDEL (guitars, ex-DROWNING IN REAL) and Melanie BOCK (vocals) were joined by guitarist Oliver RADDATZ to follow a different path compared to their tech/thrash past, mixing rock and metal in a progressive manner but with catchy tunes. Their first release came in 2004 with their debut EP "First Steps" which clocks to a little over 18 minutes. The follow-up to this was the full-length "Traffic in my Head" which was released in October 2007. Although quite distant from their previous band's technical approach, STEP INTO LIQUID have maintained an eclectic progressive character, enhanced by dynamic female vocals.
