Hipospadia biography
HIPOSPADIA is a band that is conceived as a syncretism. Many different styles are played in a same album (sometimes in the same song) : pop, punk, black metal, hardcore, neo-classical metal, cartoon music, tango, surf music, rock'n'roll, jazz, bossa nova, prog metal, circus music, latin, avant-garde music, classical music...

The band was founded in october 1999, after vocalist Alvaro BLANCO (previously with guitarist Daniel BAUTISTA in several projects covering all styles in metal), Sergio DOMINGUEZ (previously in GOD'S RAGE, a thrash metal band, and COOL'n'K.O., a pop band, both projects with Daniel BAUTISTA on guitars) and Antonio on drums. At the very start, the band was called Mr. FROG, an obvious wink to MR. BUNGLE. When looking for a guitarist, Daniel BAUTISTA was the obvious choice, having played with two of the members in past projects. The band was completed with a keyboardist, Miguel GARCIA (previously vocalist for the band In ALBIS). In december 1999, they changed the band name to HIPOSPADIA (a congenital malformation). Their first rehearsals resulted in a cassette called "The Calima Hedionda EP". But it's only in August 2000 that they recorded their first demo "Troops of Glam". In april 2001 though, they decided to fire the drummer due to his lack of motivation. Just like in EVIL INSIDE, a band Daniel lead previously with Alvaro BLANCO, drums were now to be recorded with MIDI. May 2001 saw the recording of the "Gonzo dreams" demo. A new member joined in may 2002, Ezequiel RIVERO "Kully" (from the band WITCHES BLACK). The augmented band released its third and last demo in october 2002, "Krapulas".

HIPOSPADIA is an Avant Prog Metal act, their open-mindedness and their technical skills make them close to bands like MR. BUNGLE, WALTARI or VLADIMIR BOZAR N' ZE SHERAF ORKESTAR.
