Sartorius biography
SARTORIUS is essentially a solo endeavour for Mexican guitarist Juan Sartorius. Active as a musician for the last 15 years he served 2 tenures with metal band ARGE (1994 - 1998 and 2002 - 2005) who released one album. He was also a member of SONORA SKANDALERA (1997 - 2003) who released 2 albums. In 2011 he released his first solo album on Carpe Diem Records with the help of drummer Gerardo Ruiz and bassist Angel Delgado.

He is influenced by prog metal and jazz and guitarists such as DREAM THEATER's John Petrucci, SYMPHONY X's Michael Romeo, Eric Johnson and Stevie Ray Vaughan. The music whilst containing metal and jazz elements also has similarities with the heavy prog of RUSH at times.
