Klimperei biography
KLIMPEREI is the musical project of Christophe PETCHANATZ (b. 1959), who has been producing his own unique brand of music, using several different band name projects, since 1985. His most visible project, KLIMPEREI, saw its first release in 1992 with "Tout Seul sur la Plage en Hiver". Since then, over 30 KLIMPEREI albums have been released, now available through his web site.

KLIMPEREI's music derives much of its unique flavor through the use of toy instruments, and its intimate, chamber feel gives it a strong affinity with the RIO genre. Using a wide range of instruments, toy and otherwise, his music touches upon minimalism, neo-Classical, avant-garde, and a playful RIO flavor
