Adrian Benavides biography
Adrian BENAVIDES is a music producer and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles, California. As a native Texan, he spent the first several years of his career in Austin where he underwent formal training as an audio engineer, MIDI programmer, sound designer and remixer. While living in Austin, BENAVIDES collaborated with the renown progressive rock drummer Pat MASTELOTTO by editing and recording performances for MASTELOTTO's various projects and designing/organizing sounds for live MIDI rig. Aside from his work as a producer and mixing engineer, BENAVIDES had performed on a few of Pat MASTELOTTO's remixes for Steven WILSON's "NSRGNTS RMXS" album.

His recent debut as a solo artist, the industrial progressive metal album, "Same Time Next Life", is a heartbreaking account of the loss of his daughter Valentina Grace who was stillborn in 2010. Sound-wise it's an eclectic mix between experimental post and industrial influences with electronic effects that resemble that of the later KING CRIMSON output. The album was written by BENAVIDES and Markus REUTER and features guest performances by Pat MASTELOTTO, guitarist Alex DOWERK (ZWEITON), and Austin metal scene vets Eoghan MCCLOSKEY and Mike DAY (VEX).
