Hellas Mounds biography
HELLAS MOUNDS is a post-metal/sludge band from Phoenix, Arizona, USA, formed in 2006. Having gone through several line-up changes, HELLAS MOUNDS released their first demo in 2007, ''The Last Ferry to Cydonia'', which was followed by a split EP with EMPIRES in 2008. ''New Heaven // New Earth'' EP is their most complete work to date, released through Saw Her Ghost Records in March 2010. Guitarist Gregory Colson in the same year formed the band RITUALS. Josh Griffith joined the band in 2011 to form a six-piece.

HELLAS MOUNDS mixes post rock and metal with sludge and doom, creating also psychedelic soundscapes through their heavy instrumental pieces and might appeal to fans of acts such as ISIS and ROSETTA.
