Kick the Butterfly biography
Formed on June 6th, 2012, KICK THE BUTTERFLY combine aspects of alternative music with progressive metal, coalescing with an interesting sound that brings together acts such as TOOL and KARNIVOOL with raw and faster riffs while Dominic CARMODY retains a clean singing style. In early 2013, this Brisbane, Australia group eventually succeeded in acquiring Dudley GRABSCH on bass and Liam AIREY on drums to complete the current lineup, joining Dominic, who also plays guitar, and Martin BRUNNER performing rhythm guitar. On June 5th 2013, the band self-released their first EP, ''The Attenborough Moneyshot'', providing a taster of the band's capabilities with speedy paced numbers segueing into soothing, calmer tunes. Their debut full-length album is scheduled for an early 2014 release.
