I was first introduced to progressive rock in ... 1978, when I heard Jeff Waynes 'War of the Worlds' album. A fusion of rock guitar, keyboard technology, extended play, re-occuring themes and of course a concept. I was hooked on the formula, more than the story I guess. That led onto an interest in PINK FLOYD in 1979 on the release of 'The Wall' The idea of concept albums appealed to me a great deal. I was only 11 years old at this time, but by 13 I was hooked on heavy metal, mainly MOTORHEAD, IRON MAIDEN, AC/DC, then someone introduced me to 'Exit stage..Left' By RUSH, at about the same time as MARILLION released 'Script for a Jesters Tear' I like all sorts of music but it seems to be progressive rock that I keep coming back to.

My CD collection is a mess, very badly organised. I currently have in the region of 1300 CD's. I would estimate that just over a third are progressive rock, but I also have a vinyl collection of around 450 albums.

As well as progressive rock, I like electronic music, especially that produced in the 1990 and beyond by the likes of FSOL, The Orb, Boards of Canada, Plaid and Pete Namlook. I also like some 'old' indie.
