This really doesn't belong on this website.

How so? I don't see it violating any rules. And it makes a clear point saying "It's perfect, but it's got no soul"

He certainly could have edited it to fit in more with PA. As it is, it's just a lazy copy & paste which, unfortunately, probably doesn't actually break any rules.

And he's wrong!Smile

I agree with Lazland except for the last remark - I´d give it a 2 as wellTongue

I'm registered on metal-archives, too. I think he has just posted the right review to the wrong website..LOL Multi-tabs are dangerous.
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

And let me say that the whirlwind is IMO better than any metal album that I've ever listened to.

Hello everyone, I'm not posting so much in the forum (I'm more a lurker usually), so I'm not sure if I've understood the mothods to report a review... anyway:

Mike Oldfield - Music of the Spheres <- wrote not in english, it's spanish almost for sure...

Hope this helps a bit...
...I'm back to lurk!

I'm sure the second reviewer hasn't heard the album:

Quote 4 stars This is from a promo copy a friend lend me.

Well in spite of Mark Portnoy separation of the band (this drummer is not bad bat MP is in the essence of DT and insuperable drummer) this album is good. Very good.

I was a little worried since last 3 albums were so and so -average- and it seemed that DT decay was inevitable .

But with such inspired and excellent musicians this cannot happen.

Dream Theater is the monster founder of prog. metal...so as founder mas have the virtue of reinvent.

This album is the best since "6 degrees of Inner"....and is in the top 4 .Dreams and...Metropolis,6 Degrees and...A dramatic....

Many virtuous long songs with inspired Jordan Rudess and Petrucci and the permanent beautiful vocals of JLB.

So (nevertheless MP bye ) a resurrection and a return of hope with DT.

4 stars(4,5 really)

Not a meaningful word about the album, only general statements.

This should be deleted IMHO.

Iván

Five excuses to review a leaked/stolen copy of a yet to released album:

1. I am a groupie and sleep with the band

2. My friend got a promo copy and lent it to me

3. I arrested the vocalist for burglary but he successfully bribed me with promo copy so I let him off

4. My dog brought me a promo copy of  the album on one of our early morning dog walks

5. The band authorised/asked me to review it in ProgArchives

Wow, is this a personal vendetta or something?

3 stars Mellotron Storm, are you serious? You know coming to think of it, I can't be arsed to make a sensible well thought out comment to your moronic drivel. You have to understand that personal taste should not enter in to an objective review, understand? Didn't think so. This album is of its time, and is actually very good. There you are, how more comprehensive a review do you want? It gets 3 stars rather than 4 or 5, because it is not prog rock! Um well it isn't see. No more than Kanye West is prog rock, but he is very very good, just not prog rock.

but i understands/ get / make out what he means but it looks more like a PM then a review,

meybe he just wanted a more "direct" aproach heh, then a sneak move to the Private Messages, but yeah i agree with that it is not a review that fully follows PAs ruls and guidelines and you gotta follow the rules no-mater what.

just wanted to defend the guy a litle whom doessent seem to know our way of doing things, but opinions is never wrong, just posted in the wrong section ... thats all... not wors then that, if I had a say in it.... but i don't..... so i just gonna keep my mouth shutt LOL
