Presumed Innocent Limited Series of 8 episodes. I thought it was good. Can't say that much about it. Keeps you guessing all the way to the end. Not David E Kelley's best work but not bad all the same.7/10

First season of The Courtship of Eddie's Father with Bill Bixby as a widowed Dad & Brandon Cruz his young son who's always trying to find him a wife.   Funny, touching and ful of soul, it was one of the best family comedies of the late 60s/early 70s.   Plus an amazing score by the great Harry Nilsson.

Watched the first 4 episodes of Those About To Die, the latest Roman epic and a prequel of sorts to the TV series Sparticus. Looks amazing ( I recommend upgrading your Amazon subscription to the Ad free version for a month and then binge it) and is warming up nicely. I mainly wanted to mention it for the British actor Jojo Macari. He plays one of the main characters and is brilliant. Apparently he was in Master Of The Air and Bad Education, 2 shows I've never watched. Judging by For Those About To die he's destined to be a big star. I can see him getting the roles that Tom Hardy used to get. He's got that thing about him!

We finished the last series of Vikings: Valhalla last night. It had that feeling of just getting it done to finish off. Not too bad though 7.5/10

Finished Season 4 today. I agree about that 'holding' season feeling. Episode 5 with the farm animals wa a blast. It'll be interesting to see how they end the series considering they have plans to continue the world of The Boys with spinoffs. Gen V season 2 is next and a series to be set in Mexico. Though, I would put the over/under that half of the cast is offed in Season 5.

I love Gen V as well and note the crossover in the season finale. Season 2 should be fun (hopefully).

Just watching Season 2 of Suspect and who pops up in  it - Dominic Cooper playing a very dark character. Reminded of the 'precursor' of The Boys, namely Preacher which he starred in. Same writer for both being Garth Ennis. That was an interesting show although I would say The Boys and Gen V are better.

do you think it matters whether it is accurate or not? Just interested. I watched the first 2 seasons and enjoyed them but the cast change for Season 3 (Olivia Coleman for Claire Foy) was way too jarring so I gave up.
I though John Lithgow portrayal of Winston Churchill was outstanding and he deserved his Emmy. Matt Smith made a great Duke Of Edinburgh as well.

Hi,

Been watching it ... with only one comment ... it took me 5 episodes to not feel confused and dizzy from a back-less story?

At least the original, GoT, had its story right from the start, and it made it a lot easier to follow ... the HoD is a bit of a mess in that area, with too many factions doing their own thing and confusing the story too much ... I think they decided that getting rid of some characters with a dragon or two, was the path to take to simplify the story ... but taking over 6 hours to get that far?

In most movies we would have left a long time ago!

agreed!

Vikings: Valhalla Season 3. The last series of this Viking saga. It's a good watch but not a patch on the original Vikings. Much of it takes place well away from Scandinavia - Sicily, Constantinople etc.

^ Noted thanks.

Just finished crime drama The Jetty. Only 4 episodes and starring Jenna Coleman (she was the 'impossible girl' in Doctor Who). I found it very emotional at times. Intense stuff and worthy of a binge 8/10

If you want a mad Aussie drama then there is a thing on ITVX called 'Bay Of Fires'. It's very Tarantinoesque violent at times but then often comes across as a dark comedy. Mostly set in Tasmania which seems to be the Australian version of Wales going by the strange characters inhabiting it.Wink

Don't bother with the rest of High Country - it's not great.

hey, thanks, Richard...I remember Kojak..."Who loves ya, baby?"-I would love to see that show again, as well. I am also a big fan of the original Hawaii 5-0 (the remake doesn't do it justice) but, yes, Columbo is the king of the seventies detectives, for sure....

Just finished watching Season 1 of Columbo. An intelligent and well put together tv series. I plan on watching all the other Seasons of it. (as well as the first season, I have seasons 4 and 5 on dvd, as well)
Actor Peter Falk was an amazing person; he functioned incredibly with one eye; sad to hear in his final years, he suffered from dementia.

Half way through this new Aussie police drama on BBC iPlayer - High Country. Not bad but a bit cliched.

Resident Alien Season 3. One of my favourite shows and I can't praise Alan Tudyk highly enough as 'Harry'. Should be winning Emmy's left, right and centre but it's a sci fi comedy show and so doesn't get the attention it deserves. 9/10

BTW it has been renewed for a 4th Season.
