Vangelis: See You Later
Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Specifically today to Ute Lemper, the old cabaret albums...the new Paul Weller cover album...and the new stuff from the Argentinian band Pez, whom I went to see live last Saturday, where they played their 2007 album, Los Orfebres, a pure progressive, psychedelic, and jazz-rock fusion. It's nice that they returned to the complex influences of their beginnings, which took them as far as tango and bossa nova, and they previewed material from their new album, not yet recorded, called De Buenos Aires, or Suite Buenos Aires (paying homage to their admired Astor Piazzolla), where they go from tango roots to jazz, funk, and hard rock, but always in unexpected directions, respecting the intelligence of the listener in order to surprise them. Proof that it is possible to abandon the plateaus of creative stagnation.

I'm currently on a HUGE Herbie Hancock exodus: discovering and re-discovering albums that really hit the spot (like Speaks Like a Child, Maiden Voyage, Fat Albert Rotunda, The Herbie Hancock Trio 1977, The Piano, and Secrets). Great stuff!

Visage - Hearts And Knives (2013)
I didn't know this band made a comeback, after close to 30 years since their last 80s album.
And it's not bad at all.
