Hate is a strong word, do you really HATE a band or artist? What did they ever do to you?
I disagree with Radiohead. They are one of the most inventive bands today.
Maybe so, and Ive listened to quite a few Radiohead albums in my time. They just BORE me. Thom Yorke's solo albums are even more boring.

Take half the songs from The Beatles and you still have an single album rather than an EP.
I was talking primarily about Revolution #9, y'know? The rest would do for parts of an excellent rarities anthology.

Honestly ... the Two Virgins album is probably more worth quoting, but I wonder if most porn films are more fun and better? Art for sex's sakes. Gotta love it!

Eh, probably the worst thing a person could say on this website, but King Crimson's debut. I won't say it's a bad album, but it does get quite dull for the majority of its duration, and has trouble keeping my attention. This isn't because I am hyperactive, I can listen to classical for hours. Then there's also the receptiveness of it which wouldn't be so bad if there were things worth repeating. I hardly find myself listening to it and I would probably give it two or three stars if I were to rate it.
I don't think mixing Red and ITCOTCK would be a good idea, because they're so much different, and as a studio album it wouldn't fit, despite powerful tracks it just wouldn't flow correctly. I mean, image jumping to Red from Epitaph for instance.

"Providence" is very good. "Moonchild" -- not so much.

yes, mine was a controversial statement.. but eh, i never liked it much.. i just go by how many times i've hit 'play'... in my experience- take the album apart and just the play the tracks and it's a lot of 'hits'... i think some folks would say something similar about 'fragile'... but as 'unforgivably' un-flowing as it is-it remains my favorite Yes album... relayer being my 2nd and then tales... a lot of it has to do with in what context ya hear the record for the first time... the yes album isnt one that i have a significant association with .. i think it's '4stars' in the context of the super high ratings for everything on this site.. but hey, i heard most of those songs on live recordings before i heard the lp... sort of reminds me of my reception of 'a farewell to kings'... i could be wrong, though

i dislike most 'prog metal'... the classics are fine (queensryche, some fates warning, etc....) but i just feel this stuff is overrated for the most part... i have my own philosophy on how 'metal' should be rated... i had all the gorguts albums 11 years ago... i dont consider them 'prog', but whatever... the problem with 'prog metal' is that the progessive stuff isn't metal... and the metal stuff that tries to be progressive is no longer metal... oh! we play aeolian and phrygian, so damn fast...! yeah, it ain't effing progressive... there are a 2 or 3 thousand 'prog metal' albums a year it seems... very few cross over/out of typical guitar w**ker patterns/... the problem is that if i hear most of these newer albums i immediately know every riff they are playing... that's boring/predictable...
i don't consider dream theatre's classic albums metal... metal influenced..? no doubt... should be heavy prog.. just like porcupine tree should be space rock, psych rock... or eclectic prog.. they aren't 'heavy prog'...(based on the majority of 4 later albums- all the early stuff is eclectic or space rock)
i don't care for the yes album... live, the songs are much better.. but, a boring album...
i like all kinds of ugly stuff... the early metal 'non-prog' voivod albums... war and pain is the ultimate pre-thrash album...

I also don't like The Yes Album quiet as much as other people in this forum seem to like. However, I love Fragile and CttE.
Another album that is generally loved (at least in metal circles) that I don't particularly like is Master of Puppets... I much prefer the predecessor... or even if it may sound like heressy, I prefer The Black Album over Master of Puppets.
Not that I particularly dislike The Yes Album, but I would give it 3 stars, and that's grateful.
Also, I don't grab all that love for Songs from the Wood. That folky feel doesn't really tick for me.
Growls. That's really the main thing that keeps me from Opeth, although I enjoy them from time to time.
I dislike how much post-Ozzy Sabbath is underrated. In my opinion, it has better material than Ozzy era (for example, Heaven and Hell).
Phil Collins singing. I'm trying to like post-Gabriel Genesis, but that voice I can't stand. I seem to get used to it, though, so maybe I'll begin to tolerate it or even like it.
The Final Cut. It's the main reason I prefer Dave over Roger. Waters is far more intelligent, but when we talk about music, Dave and Rick are/were the soul of Floyd.

I qualify as someone who mainly reviews only what they really love. I do that basically because that is where my strongest feelings and convictions in music are.

People have different reasons to review only their favorites and "favorites". Some choose not to review stuff they don't understand because ... well, they are waiting for their ears to mature (like cheese or wine), i.e. to take delight in the music before they will actually feel ready to write a review for it.
It's also a fact that people review the albums they are familiar with before anything, so they will normally review the albums they love, because this ones are easy to remember.
Others simply don't like to review albums they don't like, that's a valid choice.
Some get bored after reviewing this albums or loose the interest in the site so most likely we will see more positive reviews.
