Another good thread that I may have passed through briefly in the past, though my unfamiliarity with anything anyone was talking about probably scared me away at first. . RPI is not my area (ha ha!) of expertise.

I will almost never recommend RPI with English vocals, because it kills the experience for me usually, but this oddity is an exception and it fits the intended purpose of this thread.
Pure fringe weirdness, somewhere between VDGG and Krautrock. Not totally consistent, but some great moments
What a coincidence, I just checked that one out yesterday - you'd given a progstreaming link to it back on page 2 or 3 or 4 or thereabouts. I just did a quick drive by, but it was interesting enough to make a mental note to return to and give a closer listen!

If you love cats, please adopt an older cat. They've been in a cage far too long, and they long for a home.

That album though is really a long ways from most of the Italian fusion scene. To these ears, it sounds far more influenced by the more wild and untethered jazz rock of Miles, Mwandishi and Weather Report - than the more melodically fuelled acts such as Perigeo, Bella Band, Etna and Arti e Mestieri.
Dave, I've read several mentions that it's very Soft Machine influenced, but even on the few listens I've given, I think that is more of a lazy comparison and quite innacurate. Little moments sure, but not a massive influence.
When I give it my next spin, if it does turn out to be a total Soft Machine blowout, I'll amend my original statement!
If we're talking the free jazzy type thang The Softs went on to employ with 4,5 and 6 - then I guess the comparison is pretty apt. I still think it has more to do with the wilder side of the US fusion scene though.
