I mostly listen to stuff like Alcest, Neurosis, Shining, Arcturus, Ulver, shels, and the more droning and psychedelic kind like OM, Sleep and Boris.

Other - Diablo Swing Orchestra - Singalong Songs Of The Damned & Delirious. I tend to prefer my metal instrumental, a little avant & with a bit of humor.

I don't really get putting up a post on a forum about one genre (like this prog metal forum) that focuses on music that is generally regarded as not being in that genre. Sorry, that was a really wordy way of saying "stay on topic". That being said, for now I go with DT's best - Awake, Images and Words, and Six Degrees.

Not a massive fan of Prog Metal, but Scenes From A Memory is unbelievable.

Throw in a couple of Threshold, Vanden Plas, Savatage and To Mera albums and I'm more-or-less happy with the list, I'd put Pain Of Salvation above Dream Theater and include "Be" but that's being picky.

other: Vektor: Black Future (or Outer Isolation). Because it's futuristic, extremely aggressive, violent and lightning fast but still everchanging, creative, hypercomplex and somewhat intelligent. Its the only progmetal I know that pleases me the way early Sadus does. This meaning: I'm not here on the PA-boards for the proggy metal. Most of the time I loathe it. I just happened to stumble over Vektor elsewhere and they reminded me of all the real, but kind of technical metal I once loved (and still do it seems). OK so I like some selected Voivod as well.
