Saw Paul Lamb playing live two years ago in open air summer concert in Polish Bialystok downtown - it sounded great

Waited for this song - being fan of Carla Bley and Julie Tippett both never knew this album exists

I thought it was interesting they filled the void Police left (when they folded) playing reggaefied rock aka regatta de blanc

I generally like this new Esperanza's album - jazzy r'n'b, a bit nostalgic. I saw her live 5-6 yrs ago in Budapest MOL jazz fest, she warmed up Tomasz Stanko that night - wasn't impressed her pop-jazz/acid jazz too much then (she wasn't Grammy winner still :) ). It looks she founded better sound for herself with new album

Started Phronesis new album today - sounds as another quality EST clone, but if Michael Wollny's em new album is enough adventurous and contains own ideas, "Walking Dark" is more a good copy. May be just first impression though...

We continue to dip into a batch of new releases, including yet another release by Morgan Agren, this time with The Kings Of Belgium. Then there's the title track from the forthcoming Phronesis album, more from  and Esperanza Spalding. Thanks to the artist himself a couple of tunes from Juilan Julien's Strange - and more from Thinking Plague's Decline & Fall thanks to their keyboardist Kim Sajn. Then a few oldies buried deep in the archives.............. enjoy

Very much agree - but note my comment that the track played was relatively lightweight for them
