Latimer's voice always played against him, and live it was even more evident.

All 3 are excellent albums, but this is my order:

1. Yes Album
2. Nursery Crime
3. Camel

"Obvious flaws"?! I must have missed them... Confused
I'd say the production and singing aren't of the highest quality, but it doesn't really affect my enjoyment.

I don't listen to Camel for the vocals.
Also, I have heard worse vocals than Latimer's. LOL (in prog and elsewhere)

Never really 'got' the Yes Album, Nursery Cryme it is

Genesis started with 10 legs but in the end there were just 6. LOL

I guess as you get older some of the legs fall off. Whoops.

I mean they started as a quintet and ended as a trio. LOL

Having an odd number of legs is tricky. When I use five of my legs, it feels like I'm walking in 5/4 time.

I got nothing... Let's stop here the off-topicness.

I disagree with the first sentence. I think Camel's debut is great, even one of their best.
Totally agree with what you say about Nursery Cryme. The two songs you mentioned really stand out.

TYA is one of my favorites from Yes. Still my vote went to Camel. Big smile

The Yes Album. I love Camel but their next five albums are all better than the debut. Never could get into Genesis.

Of these 3 groups, YES is my least favorite, but the Yes album is my choice
