Correct. But the third one is a live album, and only the first two are prog (related).

I never include live albums in these sort of discussions!

I think Crimson had more influence than just thier first album.

Black Sabbath is also an influence I would say, even though they arn't prog.

I believe there were two Rainbow albums with DIO ... the first two, to be precise.

The answer is...I don't know! To be honest I'd have to ask  the individual bands in question< I wouldn't presume to speak for them.

I believe that the prog metal bands have stroke inspiration from the NWOBHM. But to the same time from some LP of prog bands of the 70's. My strip of ten LP that influenced them the prog metal bands is this:

1) RUSH: 2112

2) the album of RAIMBOW with R. J. DIO at the voice

3) everything LPs of the URIAH HEEP of 70's

4) DEEP PURPLE: IN ROCK

5) DEEP PURPLE: MADE IN JAPAN

6) KING CRIMSON: IN THE COURT OF THE CRIMSON KING

7) DEEP PURPLE: FIREBALL

8) ELP: TARKUS/ PICTURES AT AN EXHIBITION

9) KANSAS in all their discography

10) the LPs of ATOMIC ROOSTER

Unfortunately a lot is rhymed outside. There are a lot (too much?) ex-acqueo. But I believe that this listing enough reflecte truth. According to you is "a lot" blundered, or no?
