I was there too in The Hague. Wonderful show.

My nr. 1 wish would be ELP too, or it would be U.K.

That was my favorite tour. I was sober, so I enjoyed it all  . Rotterdam, 1988. Same show, same pig.

My first prog gig was Genesis at Stafford Bingley Hall back in 1976, the TOTT tour, though I'd been to a few folk festivals and I'd seen Steeleye Span at the Liverpool Phil before that. By a curious coincidence, I caught my first glimpse of the Sex Pistols on So It Goes when I got home from the Genesis gig. I didn't get the Pistols at all until a few months later when I discovered the joys of pogoing at a friends party while wired on a deadly mixture of Woodpecker cider and Players No.6, plus whatever had been added to the fruit punch

Well, there's a lot of users here who saw their first show back in the 70's. That's old to me! :) I don't mean that in an offensive way, I just thought the majority of the people here would still be in their teens.

Well for me it was the Sesame Street Tour with big bird on vox and oscar on the drums (no doubt) in '87. The first small venue show I went to was Opeth in 2002, during the Fair Judgement Tour.

I guess Rainbow in 1982 or something, my 1st concert. My "peer group" was into hardrock, most of my friends... They were analyzing the percentage of guitar solos on any given metal album. So like: I bought the new Scorpions album, it has 40% guitarsolo on it.

Rainbow was one of the bands that were allright with me. If I should have known Yes or Genesis at the time, things would have been a lot better, though.

It could have been an other hardrockgroup for my 1st concert.

Genesis was the 1st band I really wanted to see myself. I didn't have any progressive mates in 1987 (now I do), so I went by myself to see them. A progrockmagazine, Sym-Info, attended the concert and handed out free issues of their magazine. I discovered a world I didn't know of before. Progrock. I discovered lots of bands I never heard of before, and became a progfan for life.

I didn't realize so many of you guys are so old.

My first mention-worthy show was Paul McCartney about a year ago. Meh.

Pink Floyd, Division Bell Tour. (in either Cleveland or Cincinatti ohio, can't
remember which...)
That was definately the best show I could have had for my first (I was 14
at the time). Inflatable pigs coming out of the speakers, the giant video
screen, "Dark Side of the Moon" played in it's entirety for the second set,
and a near infinite number of joints!

(later shows include Bob Dylan, Sunny Day Real Estate,
Legendary Pink Dots (who are proggish enough to deserve some reviews
on this site, I'd be more than happy to do them!) ,Metallica, Ramones,
Soundgarden, Violent Femmes, Rancid, Misfits\Black Flag, The Pretenders,
Neil Young, Black Heart Procession, GWAR, Insane Clown Possee, Twiztid
and many others!)
Blarg! My cheese has bones!

Last gig?

Coheed and Cambria - disappointing gig from a band who make great records.
