1st off would be Opeth playing whatever they felt like for maybe 45 minutes

2nd would be Queensryche playing their Operation Mindcrime in its entirety

3rd would be Jethro Tull Performing all of Thick as a Brick

4th Psychotic Waltz playing for an hour or so

5th Genesis (classic Lineup) Performing:

1. Dancing with the Moonlight Knight

2. Dance on a Volcano

3.Return of the Giant Hogweed

4. Firth of Fifth

5. Battle of Epping Forest

6. The Knife

7. Suppers Ready

8. The Musical Box

Yeah those bands would never play together alot of stylistic differances but itd be awesome in my opinion

It's got to be either Pink Floyd's game for may gig in `67 or a Italian "pop" festival of the 70s featuring (at least): Osanna, Balletto di Bronzo, BMS, Biglietto per l'Inferno, Alan Sorrenti and Alusa Fallax

The setlist of theYesSymhonic DVD is quite close to ideal. I would add Rick Wakeman to the lineup and Awaken to the setlist.

Van der Graaf Generator :I wish I could hear A Plague of Ligthouse Keepers live. Pawn Hearts and Godbluff could be done entirely.

Pink Floyd: they shoul dplay Echoes, and DSOTM and WYWH entirely.

Pain of Salvation: firtst half Be entirely.

second half: People Passing By,Stress,Revival, New Year's Eve, Shore Serenity, Idioglossia, Her Voices, King of Loss, The Perfect Element, Fandango,This Heart of MineBeyond the Pale

Psychotic Waltz reunited with great new songs and the classic stuff.

Even less realistic:

Genesis in the classic line up with glorius new tracks and lot of classics.

Well Im going to one in three weeks times, Progpower UK, and Dream Theater last November at the Apollo.

But with mine Id have to mix and match:

Headline: Pink Floyd

              Led Zeppelin

              Pagan's Mind

              Dream Theater

              Rush

              Threshold

             Queensryche

              Jethro Tull

              The Mars Volta

              Hawkwind

              Yes

              Coheed and Cambria

Opening: Dragonforce

That would be my ultimate all day festival (and I mean all day, like the Hendrix woodstock that lterally went on all day till 10am the next day).

Plus I thik the line up would rock becuasue it would be great band followed by great band followed by great band!

YAY!

No they're not, but there's word from Mattias Olsson, one of the Anglagard-guys, that they'll possibly be releasing a DVD somewhere in the near future!

Tangerine Dream LIVE - with the legendary Froese/Franke/Baumann line-up. Maybe a re-union!

1 - Cloudburst Flight
2 - Excerpts from Rubycon
3 - Mysterious Semblance at the Strand of Nightmares
4 - 3am at the Border of the Marsh from Okefenokee
5 - Ricochet part 1
6 - Zeit
7 - Fly and Collision of Comas Sola
Encore:
8 - Invisible Limits

This way the concert would consist of some rockier/proggier parts and on the other hand ambient parts. GREAT!

I read in www.procolharum.com  that Procol Harum celebrated in 1997 the 30th Anniversary of the release of the  "A Whiter Shade of Pale" single and the start of the band. In that concert, Gary Brooker played several songs with different line-ups of the band in every song.

I think that YES and Genesis last year had things to celebrate:

YES: "The 35th Anniversary Concert of the release of their first album".

In this "imaginary concert", I think that YES could play the best songs of their career (IMO) with the original players in the albums (+ some extra musicians):

1. Harold Land (played by Anderson, Banks, Bruford, Kaye, Squire)

2. Starship Trooper (played by Anderson, Howe, Squire, Bruford, White, Kaye, Wakeman)

3. Close to the Edge (played by Anderson, Howe, Squire, Wakeman, Bruford)

4. The Gates of Delirium (played by Anderson, Squire, Howe, Moraz, White)

5. Awaken (played by Anderson, White, Bruford, Howe, Squire, Wakeman, Kaye, Rabin:The Union Tour Line-up, the best live version of this song).

6. Machine Messiah (played by Horn, Howe, Squire, White, Downes)

7. Endless Dream (played by Anderson, Rabin, White, Squire, Kaye, Wakeman on additional keyboards, Billy sherwood on additional guitars)

8. It Will Be a Good Day (played by Anderson, Khoroshev, Sherwood, Howe, Squire, White)

9. In the Presence of (played by Anderson, Howe, Squire, White, Wakeman, Tom Brislin on additional  keyboards)

10. Lift Me Up (played by the Union Tour  line-up)

11. Shock to the System (played by the Union Tour  line-up)

12. Brother of Mine (played by Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman, Howe, Sherwood, Tony Levin, Khoroshev)

13. Encore: Roundabout (played by the Union Tour line-up plus Horn on backing vocals)

GENESIS` "35th Anniversary Concert" since the release of their first album.

Line-up(s):

Tony Banks.

Phil Collins.

Peter Gabriel.

Steve Hackett.

Mike Rutherford.

Chester Thompson-playing drums in the quartet and trio era songs, and in the CAS songs.

Daryl Stuermer-playing guitar or bass in the trio era songs, and in the CAS songs.

Ray Wilson-vocals in the CAS songs.

Anthony Phillips-guitar in the "FGTR" and "Trespass" songs.

Songs:

1. In Limbo/Silent Sun.

2. The Knife.

3. The Fountain of Salmacis.

4. Supper`s Ready.

5. Firth of Fifth.

6. The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway/In the Cage/It.

7. Dance on a Volcano.

8. Ripples.

9. Unquiet Slumbers for the Sleepers/In that quiet earth/Afterglow.

10. Inside and Out.

11. Deep in the Motherlode.

12. Behind the Lines/Duchess/Guide Vocal.

13. Me & Sarah Jane.

14. That`s all.

15. Domino.

16. Fading Lights.

17. Alien Afternoon /One Man`s Fool.

18. Encore: I know What I like.

I know that both concerts are only "imaginary", maybe even "impossible"  for the "40th Anniversary".
