Trouble was that the head of BBC 1, hated Dr Who and wanted to finish it off! He succeeded too, eventually!

Yeah Michael Grade ...who now says that he's a fan of the new Doctor Who.

I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

^ I was never keen on Sylvestr McCoy, but towards the end he had some great episodes, storywise!

No, I despise the radical right as much as I do the radical left. There's just no one on these boards from the radical right for me to get into a row with.

Well I'm not a liberal cry-ass either! Although I do like Peter Davison's Doctor!
|
I like all 9 of them, although Davison is one of my favorites, right behind Tom Baker's Doctor.

Yeah but when is Tony getting ejected for his ceaseless baiting and provocation of others? It wouldn't be right to kick someone out for rule violations when the one instigating the violations goes free.

After reading your discussion in the "Not GO Quietly" thread, I have to say that what Tony R said seems like fair comment!
|
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Y'all are a bunch of liberal cry-asses if you ask me. Just look at the political compass thread. I appear to be the only one who even comes close to the center. The rest of you are probably the only white males who belong to the Black Panthers, N.O.W. and the Arab Anti-Defamation League (not sure if this one really exists, but I'm sure something similar does).

Baiting and provocation of whom?
Have you followed that linK? I was not the only one to receive that treatment, virtually anyone who had a different opinion to this guy and expressed it was attacked. Also, this guy was ejected once under the guise of "Lostrom".The only reason he has been allowed to return is because someone on the admin team believes he has serious mental issues. The things he said about me and, more particularly my family were unnecessary and cowardly. You cant have it both ways: I cant be a "cry-ass" liberal and a "baiter and provoker"
"Doctor"-stick around long enough, and you manage to diasagree with this guy (and we're not talking insults here) say, over whether X or y album is any good, and you will see what I mean.
|
Actually, I did follow the link. I actually couldn't get through most of the post because it was so poorly written and so much of it was bleeped out, it made it difficult to read, so I must have missed what he said about your family. I agree that is uncalled for. It did seem that it was a rather pointless assault too. I just said what I said for sh*ts and grins. It amused me. I don't agree with attacking anyone like that, even a cry-ass liberal baiter and provoker like you.
It seems there is no lack of childishness on this forum. And here I thought as progressive rock fans, who I generally believe are of higher intelligence, we could all be mature and civilized.
|
What you perceive as "childishness" (and presumably/hopefully you are referring to the Queen uproar),I perceive as passion.Intellect has nothing to do with it-sometimes you have to go with your heart.
