Yes, Zidane excuses to his friend Figo for the fact that Portugal had the better play of the game but France went to the final ...

A goal feels good when your team scores. That's all I meant.

Just wait until we have 2 referees.Apart from the problem of agreeing decisions just imagine how much they will physically get in the way of play.
It will be like Pinball!
Imagine trying to score with two refs both running backwards out of the penalty area in order to turn a blind eye to one of Ronaldo "simulations"....

Erik, please I am not talking about England or the quarter final.
I would be ashamed if England played like Portugal but ultimately I am concerned for football in general. The cheats were not punished and I believe that Portugal should be made an example of.
I have already posted that I thought Henry dived even though he was fouled.
My post is not sour grapes, that is not my way.I just cannot bear to see cheats and not see them punished.

Well, Tony R, I feel sorry for you that England lost their game against Portugal in a very frustrating way, I agree that in that game Portugal was a disgrace for football but tonight Portugal was at least equal to France concerning football qualities. If you talk about disgraceful acts like diving French forward player Henry successfully competed with the Portuguese forward players ...
I hope Portugal will keep on playing like tonight against Germany on Saturday in order to show the world their huge football potential.
By the way, I read that Rooney has forgiven Ronaldo ... I'm so moved ..
About that 'smart provoked foul': it was a foul because the defender didn't touch the ball but it is the experience of the forward player Henry to 'walk against the legs', just as the Italian did against the Australian, you know what I mean (nudge, nudge)?

[QUOTE=erik neuteboom]But after the smart provoked penalty (it was a foul but I know some perfect coral reef 'diving' spots for Henry ...),
What do you mean by "smart provoked penalty" when you admit it was a foul ?

Big Phil berating the referee! He will be ashamed of his actions and hopefully his team when he sees the replays?
What the hell do those Portuguese players think they are doing? Diving, falling, rolling about as if poleaxed-these players are a disgrace to football and someone needs to take action quickly.Postiga-what was that in the penalty area-you are a disgrace! Ronaldo for all his skill is a cheat and a con man and the manager must be brought to book for his attempt to intimidate the referee.
Shame!
France struggled,it looks as if this Portugal team can make anyone play badly but ultimately they have no teeth.I cannot see France winning the final now.
Italy to be Champions.

Agree with everything you say here Tony... I'm glad Portugal are out, good riddance to bad rubish Well done France but Italy will win the final. Also agree with Gog/MaGog I'm glad Phil Scolari is NOT going to be the next England manager.

Atrocious dives by the Portuguese and Scolari did himself no favours either. That said, France weren't all that great and were horribly sloppy towards the end.

Funny thing is, Henry doesn't seem to do diving at Arsenal (although they have a good quota of divers...), yet once he pulls on a French shirt...WHOOPS...down he goes....

I'm sorry Erik but you should ask your Portuguese friends why they allow their team to disgarce their country. Who wants to win by cheating? The public should demand that their team plays fair. How can they be proud of a team who play like that?

Me and the Portuguese crowd at my home are proud at the performance of their team this evening: in the first half in general Portugal was equal to France and at some moments even superior, especially Ronaldo was a constant threat and also Figo showed some great actions. But after the smart provoked penalty (it was a foul but I know some perfect coral reef 'diving' spots for Henry ...), France was in the driving seat and, in my opinion, played the second half only to control the game, very embarrasing but on the other hand, reaching the final is at those moments holy. Anyway, Portugal, despite the usual diving acts by Pauletta, Ronaldo and Postinga, showed the world their huge football potential, I have enjoyed Portugal way more than France this evening.

So France are in the final ! I'm happy but not satisfied by their performance. They looked really exhausted. And I'm not content with winning thanks to a penalty. I guess that it's part of the game.
I think it's going to be a tough strategic final.
