Frank Zappa on your Top Weekly Artists is epic win, Rico. Clap

Let us know when it comes out, Robert! Incidentally, I am now reviewing PT's In Absentia, and saw your review - with which I agree wholeheartedly. Hopefully mine won't be too controversial...

I like In Absentia, but I have no idea how to even begin rating it for PA. That's one reason I haven't written anything on it yet.

Oh, you'll see... You might find the rating and the review at odds, but I've taken a leaf out of Micky's book, and decided to go a bit against the grain.

I like In Absentia a lot, but there's nothing progressive about it.  It's rock, plain and simple.  And that's okay too.  Smile

I agree; but it's among the best rock I've heard this decade, that's for sure.  Absolutely love that album.

edit:  decided to play it!  Tongue

It's wonderful, for sure. I love all of PT's releases though, and I prefer some to IA.

When it comes to Porcupine Tree, my favorite is Deadwing.

But the worst of that band is usually pretty good.
