Obviously. He's English. Just played with a German band and then did the rock opera thing called Der Fuhrer. Which I really really want to get my hands on.

Yeah. I pretty much have a copy of every album he's sung on. I'm missing a couple big ones like the Der Fuhrer rock opera and something else I don't remember what its called...

I see.

Then again, music doesn't have to be prog to be good.

They're some German rock band. Disbanded in like 1977. I only have the last album, The one which Peter French sings on. Brilliant stuff. Not really prog. But I like it.

I fear A Plague of Lighthouse Keepers will annoy you though... LOL

There's a moment in Lemmings when Peter goes "weeeee!" it makes me giggle every time.

Of course, it's supposed to be a tongue-in-cheek thing in regards to Lemmings jumping off cliffs (which they apparently don't really do).

I had Pawn Hearts on in the car this morning for my drive to work.  A short drive so I only made it through a song and a half but It sounded better to me than it did on previous listens.  Musically, Lemmings was actually pretty good and although I still didn't really care for Peter Hammill's voice, it wasn't nearly as annoying as it was on previous listens.  He let out a couple of screams to which I knew immediately to where the Rob Halford comparisons were derived.  Also, enjoyably there didn't appear to be any cats strangled in the making of that song.  I will have to listen again with the booklet open as I could only make out about half of what Hammill was singing, so I guess I need to open the book to get a better idea.  I only made it about half way through Man Erg and at least to that point I did get the same impression.  I seemed to pick up more of the words on this one, and I can definitely see the influence on Discipline/Matthew Parmenter.  I suspect that all of my recent listens to Matthew Parmenter and Discipline have helped make VDGG more listenable for me.  It'll be interesting to see how the rest of the album hits these ears.
