I would like to know your opinion about the recording being made on a concert in 1969 in which Zappa took the stage as special guest of Floyd.
Frank Zappa was always an admirer of the music of Pink Floyd, second Gilmour and Barrett Zappa always considered one of their top influences.

It's an interesting concept, but it really just boils down to Zappa noodle-jamming with Floyd.  Thanks for the link though.

The ROIO this recording came from (commonly known as "Interstellar Zappadrive") is actually part of a set that includes recordings of Zappa jamming with a bunch of other acts at the festival it was recorded at.

wow. people like me!! whe i talk about similarity between zappa and floyd , my friends laugh at me. I believe that 3 of first floyd albums ( The piper..... , Soucerful,..... , and specially Umma Gumma ) have Zappa's atmospher and elements. Frank zappa is one of prog rock's masters and he works in many styles of prog. he has up to 40 albums and play guitars like a master.

It's nice to see that nearly 40 years later an audience-member recording of the concert at Amougies in Belgium 10.25.69 (specifically with Zappa performing on Interstellar Overdrive w/ Floyd) survived, discovered in 2006 and went into circulation. The event was also known to be filmed and more than likely the footage of Zappa with Floyd still exsists, but as of yet has surfaced to the general public.

Nice find! I had no idea Zappa had ever jammed with Pink Floyd before.

I had that bootleg on my hands, but the sound quality was too poor (under a substandard level, even for a fan like myself) . I donīt know if it will ever be recorded as an official record

^ Saw some bootie vinyl version of that recording in a local fleamarket, but the price / interest ratio lead to a decision to leave it there. Sounds an interesting case though, I like both FZ and Floyd (though not 100% of their music).
