What sort of sick weirdo would want his conkers grilled?

I once got paid for spending a lot of time around several items of heat-emitting kitchen equipment and never knowingly poisoned anyone - did I?

No it was a scary great big thing called a hotel kitchen where they had industrial-size deep fat friers, gas ovens, gas ranges, grills and all sorts of serious stuff - did us chefs swear every time we burned ourselves?

Why so cynical, wombat?
There was an Old Man of Coblenz, the length of whose legs was immense;
He went with one prance from Turkey to France,
That surprising Old Man of Coblenz.

Are you really a wombat?
There was an Old Man of Coblenz, the length of whose legs was immense;
He went with one prance from Turkey to France,
That surprising Old Man of Coblenz.

Yeah, he's the only one who can use a keyboard almost perfectly, if what I'm told is true?

Aren't most wombats cheery and gleeful?
There was an Old Man of Coblenz, the length of whose legs was immense;
He went with one prance from Turkey to France,
That surprising Old Man of Coblenz.

Well, I was a wombat for a while... shouldn't I know?
There was an Old Man of Coblenz, the length of whose legs was immense;

That surprising Old Man of Coblenz.

Isn't that just a myth?
There was an Old Man of Coblenz, the length of whose legs was immense;
He went with one prance from Turkey to France,
That surprising Old Man of Coblenz.
