In the face of things like Acid Motherhood and Going For The One, this discussion is pretty redundant.
But anyhoo:

Some ex-Yugoslavian prog album covers are horrible:

...this one shows boobs so I won't post it.

..and this one takes the cake. It's so disturbing and ill-tasted I won't post it here neither.

Wow. That's pretty offensive and of bad taste. What were they thinking?

Yeah I believe that cover is notorious and was banned in many countries.

How about this cover?

Its a bit juvenile dont you think? spirits floating around people - amateur hour in photoshop... harsh? no?

I am amazed at how many bad album covers are here that I have never heard of. I have to post this one though. Everytime I see it I cringe...

Stongly dis-a-gree with you on this one.  I love this cover.  Tull have often used dramatic artistic impressions of Ian anderson on their covers (Aqualung for instance).  The 'Stormwatch' cover painting by David Jackson is beautifully realised and fits the music on the album very well.

And I dislike the music so... Tongue
Agree with those other album covers.

Il dormira

Baroness's First EP had a rather icky cover:

Their second EP had a similar style, but wasn't quite as ugly:

Always thought The Perfect Element Pt. 1 was a dumb one too:

Don't get me wrong, it's a fantastic album, but I don't care for the artwork...

Oh, I like the last one. It's not perfect, but this ram-headed god and the circle of fire are strong symboles.
