I think Catch-22 is fine the first time around, but I'm the kind of person who will go back and scan previous pages if I'm confused about a reference to something.

Catch-22 gets better after being read a few times, it takes multiple reads just to get everything straight, and like Henry said, it works well.

Oh yeah, I started three pages in a row. Cool

Catch-22 is much better than Dune. That's the only book for me where a shattered storyline has really worked. Kurt Vonnegut does a similar thing, although less shell-shocked, but I can't stand him.

It really is a good book, I don't want to say anything about it before you read it though.

I've been reading my philosophy course book. I think the author is in love with himself.

That sounds like a BS class.

Co-pilots only make $20,000 a year? Damn, that's barely more than I would make at my current salary if I were full time. And I have a crappy job!

What is literary humor?

It's a class devoted to reading humorous books from different time periods.  One of the selections is part of the Pantagruel cycle, so I'll finally get to read a bit into Gentle Giant's subject matter. Big smile

Will you read Catch-22? That was the funniest book I have ever read.

Henry, have you heard any Vlad Makarov yet? I just found him today on youtube, playing with Chris Cutler and Fred Frith.
I cannot say that I have heard of him before. Researching this will be my project tommorow, although I have to say his Google page suffers by his also being one of the main antagonists in Call of Duty 4.

I need to research him more too, it's always nice to here more free improv cello.

Also, the name Ultranationalist is horrible.
