Event Horizon. After more than a decade, it seems even more powerful and terrifying. Very good sci-fi horror. 7/10.

Charlie Wilson's War

Good if caricatured look at the shady backroom world of Washington politics, with Tom Hanks as a blustery Texas politician and Philip Seymour Hoffman a CIA arms expert finding new and creative ways to help the Afghans fight the Soviet army in the late 80s. Cynical but fascinating peek into the realities of world politics, and often quite funny.

Blazing saddles. (2.5/10). What a piece of crap. I have finally reached the conclusion that outside of Young Frankenstein and Silent Movie, Mel Brooks never did anything good. The few jokes are so predictable and unoriginal, the humour is absolutely humourless, Gene Wilder doesn't do anything, the story could've been fun (or even good.. The premise is good) but the actual product is horrendous. I dozed off so many times.

Die Another Day. Terrible, terrible Bond movie. Look, I know it's James Bond, I know it's all in fun and stuff, but come on.....the writing of this movie, both plot and dialogue, are arguably the worst i have seen. Maybe ever. It's one of those movies that I'm only glad I saw so that I may now make fun of it in the future.

Zombieland - Not a bad movie, better than I was expecting.  Only problems were that it didn't stand up well against Shaun of the Dead and the actor who played the younger guy tried WAY too hard to be Michael Cera.

I thought it was pretty entertaining, although it got pretty cheesy towards the end. I also got the Michael Cera vibes.

Yeah, I liked the movie overall.  The Michael Cera thing annoyed me a bit though, as I've not been a huge fan of him outside of Arrested Development.

I just saw Fargo again a few days ago, with my gf. Just as good as I remembered it. Masterpiece to me, 10/10.

Tonight I saw Moon. Very good to excellent, I don't know, somewhere between 7 and 8. Recommended.

Daybreakers-
a decent cast, some so-so one-liners that had me chuckling, an okay twist on the vampire saga; which (in this case)is just one big parallel for the state of mankind today.... so! good allegory, but the story is fairly predictable- in spite of the gallons of blood and gratuitious gore, this one did not impress me that much.  6/10
also, expect a sequel, as the end is left somewhat open....

Is "the final cut" any different/better than the "director's cut" (Blade Runner- how many damn versions are there of this movie?)?  btw, the soundtrack by Vangelis is pretty damn cool- especially for its time.... even though it still sounds relevant today.

Some of the special effects have been updated though nowhere as radically as the Star Wars special editions, there's some additional lines of expository dialogue, Rutger Hauer's character has a flashback to the space shuttle escape. The biggest alteration is just the restoration of the picture quality, though.

So I finally saw Avatar. Just one comment: believe the hype. I loved it. Don't want to say more. I don't need to. I can enjoy it by myself. 9/10

I saw Avatar in 3D; damn that sh*t was mindblowing!  definitely a stellar movie, emotional, intense, high action, just GORGEOUS scenes...decent and allegorical(if predictable) story... It may go down as the Star Wars for this generation (of newbies).... easily a 9/10.
