If you love cats, please adopt an older cat. They've been in a cage far too long, and they long for a home.

Also, someone said it wasn't a great year for NHL. Well game six was the highest rated since 74'. I'd say it was a phenonemal year for the NHL. Go BlackHawks! WooHoo!!

Yeah, meh, at least Philly didn't win.  Not a great year for NHL hockey.

The Blackhawks just finished off the Flyers 4-3 in overtime to take the series 4 games to 2 and to win the Stanley Cup.  Not a big Blackhawks fan, but I can't stand Chris Pronger, so good to see him lose.

Epic fail by the Bruins! Props to the Flyers for never quitting, but blowing a 3 game series lead and a 3 goal lead is just...........well sad!

And tough loss for the Bruins on a too many men on the ice penalty. ouch.

lmao. Wings fan here too, so I'm in the same situation, only I'm going with the Canadiens because I can't stand Boston. (who I hope gets beat by the Flyers tomorrow) I do like the Sharks, but as you said they beat the Wings so I can't root for them.

Must say, I am happy that Mario will not have to share the 4 goals in one period record with Johann Franzen, or anyone else that simply camps out in the blue paint.  No offense to Franzen; he fits perfectly in the camp in front, clutch, grab, and interfere Detroit system but he's no Lemieux.

As for the Pens game: I feel for the Caps fans for the first time in my life because there is no way that this Canadians team should ever win a playoff game.  Other than their superhuman goalie and top 2 defensemen they are quite pathetic.  Despite having played a total of about 15 minutes of respectable hockey in this entire series they are even with a much better team yet again, gotta love soft goals and the neutral zone trap.  Maybe if the NHL reined back goalie pads to where they were just 2 short decades ago scoring, and ratings, would increase and weak teams would be less likely to be bailed out by their goalie.

when Ryan Miller looks more like a NFL lineman in a postgame interview than a goalie it might time to consider some rule changes:
Now, I will say that this is his Olympic uniform and there could be a difference in what is permitted internationally.  And not to pick on Ryan Miller but I remembered this interview vividly and how ridiculous he looked, like a head ontop of a pile of gym mats.

The Red Wings are up 6 to 1 after 2  periods.  It looks as though they will live to fight another day.
